A graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in Architecture and 30 years of experience at Coldwell Banker Realty Honolulu, Doug is a Vice President and consistent top producer. As Projects Director for the company, Doug has represented many of the major developers on the island, leading sales teams in the launches of brand new condominium complexes in Ala Moana, Kaka`ako, Makiki, and Waikiki. Doug has extensive knowledge of the background and current markets of the condominiums in these areas. He also works regularly in single-family and commercial sales on O`ahu. In 2022, Doug and a colleague achieved the record high sale for the year in the MLS for a multi-family building, at $11,250,000.
Doug's numerous awards include the Coldwell Banker Society of Excellence, the very highest level of sales achievement for 2017, awarded to only 53 agents out of 92,000 internationally. The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) ranked Doug #3 in the nation among agents who work in Asian-American markets. He was also in the International President's Premier in 2020, as one of the top 1% of Coldwell Banker agents nationwide. Doug was voted by his Coldwell Banker Honolulu Office colleagues as the recipient of the Core Values Award for 13 straight years. In 2000, Doug made the highest residential referral sale in the history of the Cendant nationwide real estate network at that time, including all Coldwell Banker, Century 21 & ERA companies, at $19.5 million.
Doug is currently representing the developer of The Park on Ke`aumoku under construction with 972 units. He was recently the Sales Manager for the Waiea and Anaha ultra-luxury towers at Ward Village, the Howard Hughes development. He and his team of only five agents sold over $800 million in one year, including individual units priced at over $14 million. Doug was also the Sales Manager for the Punchbowl Estates townhome development and the Cove Waikiki boutique building, as well as for the 700-unit Moana Pacific, one of the largest complexes in Honolulu. He previously sold on the project teams for the Lanikea at Waikiki and Hawaiki Tower developments.
Doug earned the Luxury Property Specialist designation by selling a large number of high-value properties and completing specialized training. His daily focus is matching people with properties. These include homes, land, condominiums, oceanfront property, multi-family investment buildings, and fee simple commercial property, as well as new development. Prior to his Hawaii career, Doug worked for New York City asset manager Walter & Samuels, Inc. and in his hometown of Princeton, New Jersey for globally renowned architect Michael Graves.
